Ballad of a Lonely Planet

Okay, this one has a different but hopefully interesting chord progression. This track comes in two flavours the straight up music track: https://soundcloud.com/biodiode/ballad-of-a-lonely-planet or the more cinematic flavour of a video: https://youtu.be/FD0JE3n_fLU

Adrian
Very good as usual and the visuals really add to it.
I never seem to worry about chord progressions in electronic space type music. I think it's okay to stay within a particular scale that lends itself well to that genre. Some of the Asian pentatonic scales just sound right to me eg Hirajoshi.

Thanks Bjorn for your insight. I have been toying with the idea of using more non-diatonic chords in my music and playing with other modal scales.

Very nice Adrian and loved the chord progressions with such a catchy melody. Your music would fit so well with any space movies/shows/documentaries.....a perfect fit IMO (have you tried sending any of your tracks?)

Thanks, Mesh. I haven't submitted any tracks, to be honest. Wookiee pointed me in the direction of Space Night but haven't worked out how to contact them as my German is very rusty. If there are any other program channels you may know I am all ears.

Thanks, Wookiee. It's not that which is the stumbling block. Have you tried to navigate their website  and I thought the BBC was bad enough.

I used to listen to them a long time ago  and I was surprised to find out it's still around.  I don't really know anything about submitting music to them or even if they accept submissions  but it would be worth a try.
Edit They have submission guidelines in their FAQ

I usually don't go for this type of music, but I thought it was very good.

I also remember Hearts of Space. UMSL college in St. Louis back in the 80's had a radio station and they played that program along with a progressive jazz program called Miles Beyond and a terrific jazz-rock program called Fusion 97. (The station was at 97 on the FM dial.) Cut my musical teeth on the latter too. Hearst of Space wasn't my cup of tea, but I listened to it once in a while.
