Bandlabs email in Spam
I like their approach, I think I could get used to the one-touch move over your account and we will do the rest approach.

Interesting. I did receive an email from BandLab, advising me to create an account to enable me to be eligible for some kind of "upgrade"? to current version, which is encouraging, and also somewhat worrisome. What if owners of older software from Cakewalk do not get that email?

They had my correct e-mail.
My problem, which others have, is that I had already created a bandlab account, but using a different e-mail.
I've told them and they replied they will deal with it... at least my case

In case you haven't seen it, BandLab have sent out an email about setting up a new account: "In case you missed the news, Cakewalk is very much alive! Last month, the team at BandLab Technologies were very pleased to welcome Cakewalk to the Bandlab family. We’re now very close to announcing our product plans, so get ready for some more exciting news in the coming weeks! In the meantime, it’s important that you make a Bandlab account to ensure that we are able to keep track of your past purchases and ownership history. You can also sign up on your mobile device by downloading the BandLab app from the ... or the ... Please jump in and do this in the next two weeks so we can tag your Cakewalk ID to your new account as we migrate databases and wind down the legacy server. Your BandLab account will be what you use to authenticate and activate the new flagship product when it is launched and will bring more features and services to your Cakewalk experience in the future. Signing up for a BandLab account is completely free and also means you get access to the full suite of BandLab features and tools for creators. In order to make sure you get the appropriate upgrade or crossgrades in the future, if and when they are available - please make sure that you sign up for BandLab with the same email you used for your Cakewalk products. For the thousands of Cakewalk users who have already signed up for BandLab with the same email address as your Cakewalk account: you don’t need to do anything, we’ve already tagged your Cakewalk ID to your new BandLab account!"

I believe you can also change the email address in your BandLab account settings. When I signed up with BandLab I used the Login with Facebook option - which is a different email address. I went to my account settings in BandLab and now it points to the same email as Cakewalk. I think I had to reset my password at that point since I was no longer connecting with Facebook.

Just checked my Cakewalk account and it does have the correct email address but I have not received an email yet from Bandlab. I did went ahead and created an account on their site. Is there anyway on the Bandlab account info to indicate whether or not you are a ex-Sonar user? I just hope that I get an email when the new version of the new DAW that was named Sonar is ready.

I don't see any note or labels showing we're Cakewalk / SONAR / TDFKAS users. Hopefully there will be something once they've migrated the Cakewalk user data.

Yep, based on this thread, I just checked and my email was in the spam folder in Gmail. This could be a problem for some users. I had already created a Bandlab account using the same email address as my Cakewalk account but I cannot see anything in the Bandlab account settings that refers to this: For the thousands of Cakewalk users who have already signed up for BandLab with the same email address as your Cakewalk account: you don’t need to do anything, we’ve already tagged your Cakewalk ID to your new BandLab account! It would be good if there was some form of confirmation on the Bandlab account that this process had been successful, perhaps referencing the Cakewalk ID?

I do not believe the sent e-mail about the early release. I expect they will send e-mail when the early release program is over. You can wait until then or download BandLab Assistant now and get the early release version of Cakewalk by BandLab.
