Banjo

Anyone heard of Boldersounds? 
 
They actually rock pretty hard...
 
I'm laying down a banjo track and just downloaded their;

    Yup, have it. Almost used it once. Will use it someday.

    Yeah, I was thinking about it then, but now I'm a customer  It's pretty cool, has all kinds of articulations, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides (which is really cool...) And if you work with it, and really spend some time, it's a banjo player in a box, but you play it rather than someone else. It's a trick to play it "like a banjo" though... You can find a lot of really informative videos on youtube about "how to." It's all forward and backward rolls, pinches, slides. I would love to learn to play a real one, but I imagine it would take many years. It looks like they have several pretty neat Kontakt instruments. Must resist urge...

    I'm working on a version of Fox on the run, and a banjo is a pre-requisite for that song. Timeless Bluegrass classic... I'll play the mando, guitar and dobro and record them live, but the banjo will be this SW. If I'm lucky I can get Scotty to saw on the fiddle on it.
