Talking of bass solos, I was thinking I'd like to hear this soon, perhaps by a Mr Strummer though? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcUdyVFa_Y4 It really gets going around 1:05 but the rest is worth watching and should you want to hear it in song context it's HERE along with that great drum beat. Bass solo starts around 2:50 although the vocal overpowers most of that in the live mix.

I could do a 'hybrid' version in 9:3:3:1 time. It might evolve into something worth inheriting. Although if it ain't broke, don't Mendel it. etc... And what about the bassline at the end of Straighten Out - awesome

Dayum. I've watched a few of their other videos and it makes me want to hear them do some originals. Not sure what their kick is about redoing Pop crap - even if it they are much better. Bapu: Take note! All you need to do to improve your bass playing is to change your hair style, add some unnecessary metal to your face and paint your nails! (Oh yeah, and add two strings to your bass. )
