I can see clearly now. the rain is gone.
We have had rain almost every day for the last 2 weeks or so, but now we're in an almost autumn-like cycle, with low humidity and temperatures in the low eighties.
Working a lot outside, I welcome the change.
But, summer returns on Sunday.

Fun fact: Can't fit a drag queen in a miata.  

Me, my brother and his wife went to a family reunion in Charleston, SC a few years ago. The wife decided to stay for a few more days so my brother rode home with me in the Miata.
At that time, he was well over 400 pounds. It was a tight fit. We had to drive all the way to Raleigh, NC with the top down (because big people are tall when they sit), and rain threatening the entire way. Only had a few sprinkles, though, and the car was none the worse for wear.
I can't testify as to his preference of garb while in the privacy of his own home.

How was your weekend?
Couldn't do what I had planned and ended up doing what I hadn't planned.

G'day, same here Mesh. Blew a 7' hole in my studio wall (removed a bad patio door) put a new one in. That was my holiday. It was HOT. The UV-C singed my ears.

Ended up a bit too busy today as well.
After tomorrow, I'll (fingers crossed) have some spare time, and can get some stuff done.
The weekend is free time anyway.
Need to get my (old) car ready for an EU control (is what it's called in Norway. I believe it's the equivalent of an MOT in the UK) this Thursday, that is mandatory for all cars here every 2 yrs.
And I just found a small leak in the turbo's intercooler Not very easy to get parts around here

I swear I was not planning to take the day off on Labor Day.
As it happened, I was on my way to work (honest!) when I noticed the temperature gauge climbing above 'normal'. So, I pulled over and opened the hood, and steam was coming from... somewhere under there. A lot of steam.
I filled the radiator from a jug I keep in the trunk, and I was just about a half-mile from Pep Boys, so I went there.
They were pretty busy since some of their techs were off for the holiday, but the manager came out and we discovered where the water was leaking; just about the worst place it could leak from, a hose at the back of the engine that comes from the heater core.
He said they couldn't possibly get to it that day, could I leave it?
I couldn't.
Despite the signs in the parking lot "absolutely no maintenance is allowed in the lot", the manager let me change the hose. He even loaned me the tools.
Three hours later, the hose was changed, I was covered with sweat, grease and coolant and dehydrated to the extreme ( it was ~93 degrees F) and wanted a beer.
So I didn't go to work. I labored instead.

Wish I could remember what page this thread was on the last time I was here.  Not that it matters.  But it must matter or I wouldn't be thinking about it.  Nothing else matters.
