Haven't heard of Tulsa Rib Co. (until now).......if you're ready to drive 20 miles, it's gotta be good.

This weekend, my wife requested (for mothers day) to have breakfast at one of Tampa's best French Toast places (of course, I don't remember the name).Looks like it's going to be a weekend in Tampa with some restaurant hopping.

What plans for you?

I think it's good.  It's the one that all others get compared to and few come close.  Here it is.

Their brisket is absolutely wonderful.  I really like how the entire meal rocks too.  I've gone to a few places where parts are great and you just have to deal with the rest (vegetables suck, bread is bland, etc.), but not Buster's!

Tulsa is the same way.  The babybacks rock.  I'll get them 80% of the time.  Tulsa Fries are great, too.  The only thing I've tried that I didn't absolutely love was the tabouli.  It was good--it just didn't inspire to get it over their  coleslaw.  I wouldn't have expected a BBQ place to have great chicken noodle soup, but even that may have been the best I ever tasted.

Then you could go to Houston's in Irvine and get their Key-Lime pie...  Yum!
(The waitress I used to go out with from there was pretty yummy too, but that's another topic!)

I'm back with a belly full of ribs.  My eyelids are getting very heavy.  Houston's sounds like a good place to try.  I haven't been there yet.  I'll say "hello" to your waitress friend.

Talking of bars, I hit myself in the face with an iron one this afternoon. No kidding, I actually did. My own 4' long pinch bar.

It hurt. A lot.

I don't think I'll do it again.

You mean you won't be going below zero or resetting like the Mayan Calendar?  That's depressing...

If what I'm counting down to actually happens (and I have my doubts, based on past experience), it'll be anything but depressing. Then I'll start a new thing, just for you.
