I think ram usage is running high in my computer today. My internal cpu almost overheated. The biological one ,that is.
Ken- How is Mr. Graine today?  Hopefully he went away. I'm no doctor but I could probably throw 10 potentially helpful suggestions out there. #1 Everything feels better during and right after whoopie. Backache? What back ache? I forgot I have a back. I don't feel a thing. If your sinuses were clogged you'll feel like someone ran a rooter up your nose. The only real problem here is the need to return for frequent whoopie. Nope. Ain't happenin'.

This time changing stuff is so out of date and unnecessary.  The original reasons for it don't apply anymore - not for decades. Old dogs forcing new dogs to do old tricks.

Reminds me of this tune. He talks about 4:30. That's when I'm waking up. It's 5:30 by the old time. It's not late, it's early....early.....early. I LOVE the bass in this.

Yes, I had to put into consideration the large amount of traffic that passes through here for maximum effect.

After all of that traffic and frenzy it might be a good time to settle down for some yoga. Yes I colored that because it's special.
I'll need a 50' radius around me cleared first. Bad things can happen when I squat down and cross my legs.

Thanks Tim. For me, it did come with a bit of 'bleeding fingers' (so to speak) as they're aren't what they used to be. I need to keep practicing .

First snowfall of the season last night.  Only a couple inches but wet and icy.  All the bad drivers are exposed at this time of year. It turned to rain later, which got rid of most of it.  Very windy this morning, and cold. Of all the things I love in life, Winter is not one of them.

At least we can be thankful we haven't had any  fires, hurricanes, major flooding,lack of rain, earthquakes, or rap dancing.
 
It can always happen though. 

Sorry to hear about cold front coming in...we're also getting rain here and probably bring the temperatures down a few degrees from 82.

I lived down that way for a long long time. The change in seasons here is more dramatic.  I don't think I would trade it for anything. While I'm not especially fond of winter, it has benefits too. More time indoors to play on the DAW. No lawn to mow. No bugs. No snakes, and the white stuff can look pretty from inside the house. If you can wait it out until April, spring  more than makes up for the hardships of winter. Clearing snow can be a hassle. If it gets too bad I don't go in to work. Especially if it's ice. If my car slides down the driveway with the brakes applied I don't go out in it. No point in it.

I'm just the opposite Tim, I've always lived in warmer climates and the cold just doesn't agree with me. I'd love to visit/go skiing or spend a weekend in the snowy areas, but can't live there......just can't do it Capt. Can't beat going to the beach almost anytime of the year and always hang out in shorts & a T-shirt. Some like it hot & some like it cold. I do want to make a trip up to Virginia during this winter though....taking the little ones to hang out in the snow. :)

Been there, done that, now what?

Snowing here now. My commute home will be a little hectic.For some reason that really doesn't bother me. I've been up here since about 81'. I guess we get used to it. It's a process. All those annoying bugs will be dead. No sweat running down my crotch. The UV-C is bad this year. That's the UV wavelength that burns below your skin like down into your muscles. No thanks.

Our Friday is expecting lotsa snow, commencing soon. This time I'm glad cuz it will mean postponing a dinner date that I really don't want to be at. Something my wife said I'm going to.

Yep...Friday here too. Congrats on making it past Thursday. I was 2 1/2 hours later getting home last nigh due to accidents and ice/snow. The weather forecast called for a mild winter storm so none of the road crews went into high gear. I don't think anyone expected it. Might as well suck in in buckwheat, this is only the beginning.

Good morning, folks.
This computer crashed on Wed. and I had to do a reset.
Spent Thurs. loading software and trying to get it looking the way it did before.
Then, my XP DAW computer started giving me a "Windows must be reactivated within 3 (now 1!) days or it will stop working".
Why? I wonder. Just because I added more memory, a video card and a FW card the program my brother paid for will stop working? Unless I can somehow get MS to support XP again.
A guy on the Computers forum said to call the 800 number in the message; he's done it before, so, wish me luck!

It would be fun to revisit 3.1.  Been a long time, I can see me thinking, "We really worked with this!?!"

But it would run on a computer with less processing power than my washing machine.

Speaking of computers, Cakewalk has been causing a lot of drop outs and latency issues as of late. Drivers for my Focusrite 2i4 (gen 1) don't have support, but still work although I have to jump through hoops.
 
All of this might be just null & void as I've been gifted an early Christmas gift (Studio One 4 Pro) by a very generous long time forum member. Hopefully, S1-4 is more friendly towards my 2i4. So far, I've only installed the program....still downloading the massive content.

Starting to get a few crashes with Sonar Professional now. Sign of things to come I expect.

James, have you tried BandLab's Cakewalk?
They have been doing general updates to the program. Me thinks, my problem is more related to my 2i4 than the software itself.

I haven't yet Mesh. I do have Studio 1 installed as a backup. For what it's worth my 2i4 seems to working OK (unless it's causing the crashes...)
