A young Portsmouth woman was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the sea, but just before she could throw herself from the wharf, a handsome young man stopped her.
“You have so much to live for,” said the man. “I’m a sailor, and we are off to Australia tomorrow. I can stow you away on my ship. I’ll take care of you, bring you food every day, and keep you happy.” With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always wanted to go to Australia , the woman accepted. That night the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a small but comfortable compartment in the hold. From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches, a bottle of red wine, and make love to her until dawn. Two weeks later she was discovered by the captain during a routine inspection.
“What are you doing here?” asked the captain. “I have an arrangement with one of the sailors,” she replied. “He brings me food and I get a free trip to Australia .” “I see,” the captain says. Her conscience got the best of her and she added, “Plus, he’s screwing me.”
“He certainly is,” replied the captain. “This is the Isle of Wight Ferry.”

It's pretty warm and humid in the shire--not terrible, but warmer and humider than I prefer.  Other than that, I'm just hanging out waiting for the CHC bell to toll.  

How are things out your way, Daryl?

well, my kids' football seasons have finished so I have more time for other stuff.
Really enjoying the Olympics.
The band has a big gig coming up - an annual charity thing we do. The pet rescue charity made $11,500 from the gig last year.

I've been watching the games when I can.  Most of the events are pretty exciting.  Others--not so much.

Just got over a nagging cough and started a mild work out (playing B-Ball etc..) and will be doing some weight training soon. Possibly, by the end of Aug. I might be "fit" enough to play, but not sure when the season here ends.
 
I know there some very staunch cricket fans that lurk in this FSF and just drool in anticipation/excitement for any news in the cricketing world and I promise to do my very best to keep them all updated on the latest happenings of this fantastic game!!

I agree with MM100 - it's the only thing missing from the song.
