I actually am far more productive at night.  Sometimes my brain feels like it's in overdrive and I can get a LOT done.  When I'm really into something the last thing I want to do is try to shut down and go to bed! Which, of course, is why I've always had issues with middle-management who only work from 8am until 5pm and think that everyone else should too (except they always gave tasks at the end of the day so you have to stay late while they leave).  I'm so glad I'm not in that situation any more!  My brain rarely wants to function above 50% until the crack of noon...

I'm exactly the same and get really annoyed by all those people who claim that you must match your sleep cycle to the sun and are most productive in the morning and all that. I'm basically useless in the morning and can instead be at peak productivity (for me ) at 11 PM until...whenever.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

My "brain" also kicks into overdrive when I work in the studio late at night
But when I come home from twerking night shift(s) (9PM - 9.15AM), I'm in dyer need of some shuteye..
I need a few days to adjust, so when my weekend is over, that's when I'm in night shift mode

I always remember a story (in my senior year) about a community of blind people who adapted to life in the opposite. They slept in the day (when it was warm) and worked at night (when it was cold).

I related to that on so many levels. And my name was NOT Wong.
