That sounds dirty.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

So no one bothered to reset the time on this heap?

Speaking of age
bayoubill's Uncle a 75 year ol banjo Player married Sue, a lovely 25 year old . . .
Since her new husband was so old, Sue decides that after their wedding she and bayoubill's Uncle should have separate bedrooms, because she is concerned that her new but aged husband may over-exert himself if they spend the entire night together.
After the wedding festivities Sue prepares herself for bed and the expected knock on the door.
Sure enough the knock comes, the door opens and there is bayoubill's Uncle, her 75 year old groom, ready for action. They unite as one. All goes well, bayoubill's Uncle leave of his bride, and she prepares to go to sleep.
After a few minutes, Sue hears another knock on her bedroom door, and it's bayoubill's Uncle, Again he is ready for more 'action' .
Somewhat surprised, Sue consents for more coupling. When the newlyweds are done, bayoubill's Uncle kisses his bride, bids her a fond good night and leaves.
She is set to go to sleep again, but, AAha, you guessed bayoubill's Uncle is back again, rapping on the door and is as fresh as a 25 - year - old, ready for more 'action'. And, once more they enjoy each other.
But as bayoubill's Uncle gets set to leave again, his young bride says to him, 'I am thoroughly impressed that at your age you can perform so well and so often. I have been with guys less than a third of your age who were only good once. You are truly a great lover!'
bayoubill's Uncle, somewhat embarrassed, turns to Sue and says:
'You mean I was here already?'

The moral of the story:
"Don't be afraid of getting old,"
Alzheimer's has its advantages.

Reminds me of the wealthy 80-year old who marries the young girl.  She figures she'll have to put up with him for a while then be set for life with the inheritance.  On their honeymoon, while she reclines in bed and he's in the bathroom, she wonders if he'll even attempt to consummate the marriage.  Then, he appears, completely naked wearing a condom, a clothespin on his nose and earphones.  He sees she's obviously surprised so he says "If there's two things I can't stand, it's the smell of burning rubber and the sound of a girl screaming!"
