He even included shipping  I've been looking at replacement capsules, in case it is too noisy. I have NO clue when it comes to this (either). There are (among others)"47", "67" and "87" type capsules for this.. Is the capsule enough? I know how to solder, but Am I good enough.. I'll have to do some reading (again!)

I have 5 or 6 mics I've built from these guys, including an MXL 990 "mod". https://microphone-parts.com/pages/mxl-990-mods You can replace the capsule or pre-amp, or both. Replacing both is not exactly a mod, you salvage the shell and basket then throw away everything else... replacing with your choice of capsule and new pre-amp (which you have to build, so I hope you can solder well.) Highly recommended.

Thanks for the tip, Karyn. I've been reading quite a bit about the mods for this mic. I ended up on the same page you linked to, so seems good I might start with just the capsule for now, and upgrade the rest at a later date.

Good day folks I've been playing some geetarz today, and still like the S-Gear quite a bit I've got to record geetarz for the next album (the Synth Pop band I play in) this week as well, so all rehearsal is good. Might even use amp sims on this album.
