Sup Ya'll!...I've been in a time warp and was thankfully pulled free of it. I'm still warped but I think I'm in the correct time. What year is this? I must not have jumped too far into the future unless Ken's foot is taking an unusually long time to heal.

Good day, folks. My foot is slowly butt Shirley getting better. Still a bit swollen. Wondering if I should try to sell some plugins to get Kontakt at a crossgrade price. But which ones? I'm only 125$ short of the 125$ price

Hiya Ken, Software plugins don't really hold their value (money-wise) in resale but if you had some hardware to sell, you might have better luck no? Kontakt will open up a lot doors for you, especially 3rd party libraries.....it's a money grabber for sure! Good to hear about yer foot!!

I know. Probably 1/3, or 1/4 of new price. I've only sold 1 plugin in my life (Melodyne Essential that came with S1), so not Shure where/how to do it best (and quickest ). I have until Saturday to find out I need the few pieces of HW I've got

Mesh....I'm trying to catch up on yesterday for Pete's sake. Geeeeeesh! Ken- I share your feelings. I have always had GAS. Probably always will. I try to stay away from the deals area but it usually doesn't work very well. The one good thing about sales is there's always another one. If you miss this time, you'll have another chance. I have found that unless composing film tracks or orchestras a few decent soft synths can do well for some. All depends on what you want to do. There are equivalent offerings that sound pretty darned good for rock/pop/electronica/trance and that kind of thing. Have you looked into AIR? Could Kontakt free temporarily fill the gaps? Mebee? Sorry, just tryin' to be helpful.

Thanks, Tim. It's a disaese, I tell ya I feel I have what I "need" on the HW front, and don't have ( that much) GAS anymore Still use too much time surfing, and dreaming about a whole studio full of cool HW I've got some of the AIR synths and SONIVOX synths, so I'm (more or less) covered on general synths, strings and brass/wind etc. I have Komplete Elements (with the player versions) from some years back as well. I'm sorely missing a decent choir (among other things), though.

Morning ladies and gents. Ken, The addiction gets worse. Sample libraries mean bigger and more drives..... a 500gb is nothing, a terabyte? It begins to look small after awhile. It becomes an endless cycle. Sample libraries>drives>sample libraries> drives> fried chicken>sample libraries>fried chicken>Sample libraries>drives>fried chicken. We can't get into GAS anonymous because they know who we are.

Good day Tim, and the rest of the gang. We're not anonymous any longer, that's 4 Shure I've yet to fill my 240Gb SSD sample drive halfway, and I've had it for 4 or so years. The sample based instruments I normally use are SD2/AD2, and SONIVOX/AIR. I've never use samples as samples I should try that one time. As for selling plugins, it seems like a lot of twerk Guess I'll be looking for next years sale

Good morning Lads!! I think the tough part for most us is when we buy plugins, is we truly want to keep them/use them. So selling them is a bit tough (it certainly is that way for me). At the same time, I have bought some plugins on just an impulse and which don't get much use, but selling them won't make much back as I bought them dirt cheap...........and they're still dirt cheap.
