Pythagoras walks into a bar muttering, "If a right-angled triangle has a short side X, a long side Y, and hypotenuse Z; then the square of Z must be equal to the sum of the square of X and the square of, erm... uh..."

The barman says, "Y, the long face?"

Is that question Hypythategorial?

No, it's retrograde retrotorical.

fighting talk Jan - how are ya mate?

Busy day.  Checking out Soup-sayer and cleaning up an old tune.  Yankees, Giants--laundry(if I get motivated).  How about you?

Football this morning in the rain - lost 1-0.
Weird charity gig this afternoon - first set was 1.30pm. Turned out to be great fun though - plenty of punters dancing and having a good time. We dredged up our old soul stuff.

well arse and arse-ttes, I am doing two live gigs this weekend, with my new Korg Krome keyboard (2.8 gig of UNLOOPED piano samples for one) and my Stage 2..

so fun!!!!  rock and roll =====and NO sex, No drugs, but rock n roll.......

well the ONLY drugs will be Prilosec, or Immodium, or Tylonol...

I'm very jealous - what do you think of it MM?
It is the "semi-weighted" 73 key version.

The piano are GORGEOUS!!!no loops!Def Kronos quality.

The EPS/Clavs are nice, but don't hold a candle to  my Nords.

The meat and potatos are good, I like the strings, and have created a Horn section(trumpet, tenor sax, Bari) that sounds pretty damnn good.

The organs sux.. lots of waves with percussion that you dont always use. The rotary sim is blah...

Bu the board is so lightweight, tuck it under one arm.

It does take 60 SECONDS TO BOOT!!.. so if you lose power in the middle of a gig, it aint coming up rigght away..

I'm also impressed with Korg's sounds....especially M1. I find it quite useful and the quality of sounds are very pleasing.

Daryl, do you use/like any of Korg's soft synths (M1, MonoPoly, Polysix etc...)? (the whole Legacy collection is on sale) :)

I use a Triton LE live and as my controller in the studio and occasionally use some of the sounds when recording. Before that I had an 01/W (which my son now uses as his controller with FL Studio). Belive it or not, I've never tried their soft synths

I'm not sure if there's a Demo of them, but I did get the M1 when Korg had a sale sometime last year. What's nice within this VST is it's an 8 part multi-timbral tone generator with over 3000 presets to get a nice Phat sound and very easy to tweak Fx's . I think Jeff Evans got the Wavestation and was quite impressed with that as well.
