After drinking 15 pints I was weaving dangerously in the middle of the road.... "Excuse me sir" said the policeman, "But I think it would be much safer if you made that wicker basket at home."

Good morning, Daryl and all our fellow CH denizens. You're looking rather blue, today. Is Sandy coming your way? She should lose some power by the time she gets all the way up to your neck of the woods. I found the Kings of Convenience web site. They sound very good. I'll be picking up a CD when I get the chance. Do you have a favorite to start off with? I'm glad you did a straight cover of the Ewen McColl/Robert Flack song. Mrs. G's influence no doubt. I bet you wanted to do "First Time Ever I Saw Your Arse", didn't you.

Thought about using those hot air balloon tickets we bought awhile back but two things changed my mind. 1. We might end up in Canada at breakneck speed. 2. There was already plenty of hot air in here.

LOL - as you can (and have) imagine working with Straummy and Bapu, "First Time Ever I Saw Your Arse" was the working title. In fact the current Mrs Daryl1968 did a special intro for Bapu with those very words...

There's a news overload on the whole thing currently. The TV seems to be intent on inflicting his sick face on everyone at every available opportunity. There should be a law against that too. Meantime I'm keeping my TV off!

Hurricane Sandy - Upstate New York update..... Just been to see some bad arse waves on Lake Ontario which were pretty scary, however the ducks were still swimming and, according to Bapu, that means everything is going to be ok. I feel so much better now I have spoken to an expert.

bayoubill I was scary during Issac! you were not down here for katrina, were you ? A tornado hit some trees damaging a shed skipped my house and then destroyed a portable building. There is a distance of 100 feet between my house and the trees and about 60 feet to the former spot of the portable buidling. I was more than scared. I tried to open my back door just as the tornado was going over me, and the pressure inside my house was holding the door closed, just as I was able to open the door I saw the buidling explode. I didnt hear the classic train rumling sound. I did get down on my knees at that point and gave a Prayer of thanks.
