So does that mean, those of us that use multiple samples should complete several songs?

Or is it just the dogs bullocks?

can I say bullocks in here?

No, and you can't say 'balls', 'nuts', or 'nads' , either!

Absolutely!  Ten albums.

Last night (after some Tony Iommi solo work) I was listening to TransAtlantic (one of the dozens of bands that Portnoy is in).  Got any of that?

Just be careful about those SSD's!  They don't "start to fail," they just die.  So consider getting two and RAID'ing them (you only need them for the OS drive anyway and that can be small - keep your data on a much larger separate disk).

Actually, one of the better setups now-a-days, is to have two smaller SSD's in a RAID-1 configuration along with two 4 TB's also in a RAID-1 configuration (try to use the exact same drive for each set if possible).  Backups are always a good idea, but not losing any data in the first place is even better!

Well taking your advice I purchased a second SSD driveand installed it, thats when the fun began.

I tried following some directions I googled to set them up with th e Intel Software and  could never get it going.
I then invoked the BIOS Ctrl I Config setup to create the array, and good thing I backed up first cause it wiped the disk out

Short story long, created the raid array, restored mt disk, now all is well.

SO now I have a DELL XPS 8700 with and

I7 Quad Core 4790 3.6 Gig
24 Gig Memory
NVidia GT740 video
2x 256 SSD drives in Raid 1
1 ITb Projects SATA Drive
1 1.5 Tb Library SATA Drive
Focusrite  Liquid Saphfire 56
Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP

You know what torques me ?
AFA a SSD with JUST the OS, well programs that INSIST on loading  their "content" (NATIVE INSTRUMENTS HAH)
on the C drive and you really cant move them since the pointers are hooked into the program ...
really bloats the OS drive

I also have a similar setup as yours, but all my synth samples (NI included) go to my dedicated samples drive as I did this on initial install.
Shirley, ewe can change the path no?

Ironically, the only software that I can't change the path is SPLAT......tried many times to change the Cakewalk Content drive path (from C: to D:), but CCC just doesn't do it (giving me an error message) and then reverts back to the original location. I really should put in a ticket.
