There is a cute little side story to that picture of the girls on my stairs though.  The youngest one didn't want her picture taken so she covered her face as I got ready to snap the shot.  So, what I did was say "*Click!*" and she pulled her hands away - just as I pressed the real camera button.  She was NOT happy!  Her parents, standing at the top of the stairs, were laughing very hard and that didn't make her any more pleased with being tricked - lol!

Went to a restaurant today. When the soup arrived, I saw a fly in it.
"Waiter, there's a fly in my soup".
"Impossible, sir. We put them all in the raisin bread".

I'm just amazed at the weather over here. Debbie brought a few winds and LOTS of rain for about a week or so (non-stop).....yesterday and today, not a cloud in the sky, was 92 degrees and maybe a very slight breeze.....really nice!! I/we are all happy it was just a tropical storm that came & went (I think it's gone).
 
I hoping all those fires in your hood (Cali & Colorado) could be contained before more damage is done....

Yay! I've lost 7lbs in three weeks. My goal is 10-15lbs more before Mooch's wedding on August 25th. I want to be light enough so that when Mooch has to extract me from the wedding (by throwing through a plate glass window) he won't get a hernia.

I'm always watching out for my little buddy.

I decided to go straight calorie counting this time. Plus my Dr. prescribed Phentermine (appetite suppressant). I only take one a day (not two).


Typical day.


Breakfast (470c):
2 Eggs - 120c
2 strips of Becan - 80c
Atkins Vanilla Shake - 160c (I love the taste of those things)
Thin Cinnamon  Raisin Bagle - 110c

11:00AM - Take the pill

Noonish (10 - 60c):
2 Sugar Free Jello (10c)
Sometimes with cool whip (50c)
or
I Sugar Free Pudding (60c)

Snack time (200c):
4 Hershey mini bites (200c)

Dinner(~500c):
8oz Filet Mignon
or
Salmon
or
Cod
or
Hamburger Patty

That's ~1230c per day.

Sometimes at night I might have another pudding or two small bags of popcorn (200c)

Not for me.


In 2003 I lost 40lbs on Atkins (over the course of 9 months). My cholesterol was improved, my blood sugar improved (I'm a type two diabetic) and I kept the weight off for 3 more years. Then I "pretended" to stay on the diet and over the next three years gained 25lbs of the 40lbs back. Never had any health related problems on Atkins (still don't).


I am back to 20lbs away from my "end-of-2003" weight.

My Dr. is very conservative. She is the one that suggested only one pill per day. And she will only let me be on them for 90 days.

BTW Dary, I did start those other things earlier in the week. Too soon to tell if it's working.

I'm glad for your sunny days, Mesh.  I hope everyone is safe in your neck of the woods.  The news made it sound pretty bad.
