Speaking of which.....I really need to get a bass (a decent one, yet fairly cheap).....it's just not the same using some emulation (octaver etc..) with the guitar or keyboard.

I have this in black, and very satisfied with it (for the price I payed). It covers more than my needs

Looks like Yamaha has discontinued that model (as well as the rbx374).....but, I saw some pics of it and it looks very nice. I really should go to a local music shop and just test out a few.

You might find one secondhand I really like playing it. It just fits me It's a bit heavy, but I like that (still miss my old Les Paul, and its weight). And the neck is (in my opinion) nice. I got it as a X-Mas present from the wife and boys 
(And my Epiphone Goth for my birthday for touring, a couple of years before, when I still had my LP)

Yeah, I'll keep a look out for one (it's not a priority ATM, but I've always wanted to play/record my own bass lines......and get a little slap happy (if possible) :))

I usually use my UA LA 610 or Drawmer MX60 (DI) for bass. For my guitar, I have a Line6 Pod HD 500. I have tried a little lately to DI my guitar, and use TH3. Will try some more, as it gives me the possibility for "afterthought"..

As much as I miss my (old) Marshall 2550, I think the HD500 is nice for my needs I got it for about half price..
Edit: Half of secondhand price I managed to trade (not the same person) my HD300n for a HD500 in under a week

Before this, I had an old Line6 POD2. In my opinion, they are almost indestructible I gave mine to a friend after about 10 yrs. It's still going strong..

About the only things I miss nowadays are my EB3 and Rick basses. The EB3 begat the Rick and the Rick begat the Alembic.

I know that my old Marshall is for (re) sale now, but I cannot afford it And I guess that I'll never have a '68 Les Paul again either

Yes, that's the Juan I have (I forgot the 2 part).....yeah, they're solid alright.....the only thing was the power adapter started to tear. Nothing a little electrical tape can't fix...
 
I should try using it again and even try recording with it.......if I can find it in the garage.

Since I really don't drink much, I prefer to think of it as Bass O'clock or Recording O'clock.
