ZarggG'day, folks.I just finished putting up my drumkit, and played it through SONAR with EZ Drummer Metal Basic kit
ZarggJust have to cut and put a carpet under it for traction..
MeshZarggG'day, folks.I just finished putting up my drumkit, and played it through SONAR with EZ Drummer Metal Basic kit How do you like it? Now, when you jam along with Ramstein, the neighbors won't get that (live drums) concert experience?
MeshBubba, you drink coffee like Ken drinks beer....by the gallon? I have a vegetable peeler......wait....it's just a becan slicer...NVM.
UbiquitousBubbaHaving your drum kit slide away is part of the experience. Chasing that kick drum around the stage is half of the fun. My favorite was trying to play while trying to keep my ride cymbal from taking off in the wind. Sure, having a 20" cymbal slicing through the crowd would have added a surreal element to the show, but I wasn't done using it.
craigbYep, that's a good start there Ken! I remember buying the smallest kit Roland made, but I couldn't stop adding things until it was completely maxed out. Next time I'll start with the larger kit!
ZarggNice! I've already thought about upgrades to mine

I haven't put carpet under yet, so I slid around on the floor playing But it's goodanough for meI have tried to play out of my monitors, so the neighbours might get more than they'd likeBut really looking forwards to getting to use it on my own stuffPlus I'm getting IK ARC2 in a week or soIf I take the migraines away, this has so far been an excellent week

My kick and hi-hats slide on carpet, just not as much. I've got the little prickly dealies driving into the fiber...still doesn't stop them. But you know what does? Screwing them down to a piece of plywood. And it works out since that means when I break down and set up I get my pedals and stands in the perfect spot, right where I like them. Just a suggestion....enjoy!
UbiquitousBubbaI was bolted to a sheet of plywood once and left out in the rain. Today, they call that "bad parenting."
