Sorry to hear about the stomach issues.....hope the symptoms get resolved soon.

I have done this in the past, but wanted to see what differences there is between using a mic, versus the internal mic system.
I feel after trying a little, that there is quite a difference in "the weight" of the sound.
He (Manuel) sounds great with new strings, and the internal pickup system cannot quite capture that.

Absolutely!! I also noticed the tones are much thinner sounding. That's the downside of plugging in.....I generally EQ it slightly (with care) as to not alter the sound. Of course, nothing to replace the full bodied sound of the wood.  

I put the original Mike way, and used my HIGH END Røde NT1A, through my LA610 to capture it 
But it sounded NICE

I just read that Mike could be a very god Mike to record acoustic guitars with..
Might have to give it a try.

The Røde NT1A? Do it man....do it!!
Use a couple of Mike's at the same time and A/B them or use both for a unique flavor.......(this is just me being bored and throwing random ideas out there).

I suppose the good thing about using several Mike's at the same time is once you get that "great take", you have a variety of choices in using all, few, or just one for mixing (depending on what you want to do with it).
 
When I sing, the background noise is what I generally use.
 

I had today and tomorrow blocked off for an out-of-town side-job.  The job got cancelled (which sucks 'cause it would have been some easy money), but I've "forgotten" to remove them from my calendar.  Good to have a couple of "me" days anyway.  
 
First task:  Go back to bed for a while. 

It's always good to have a few days off......especially if you've been working hard. Get some rest......the TOTP's are for the taking. Bwaaaaaaaaahhaaaaaaaaahaaaaaa!!
