Bar noise in the background

Anyone know where I can find samples of background conversations of people in a bar?

the main sample is not in english - but there are a few 'related samples' further down the page. possibly something will work for you.

Yeah - look for the 4 CD set of King Crimson Projeckts - these were "instrumental only" explorations of the various fractions of King Crimson recorded live in concert some years ago. At the end of one of the discs there is like 15 minutes of nothing but background chatter and cheering and yelling and conversation that sounds exactly like a small bar. I admit I've stolen bits from that CD in the past when someone wants to recreate the sound of a live bar experience. Of course you need the CD but you might be able to find a good used version on eBay or somewhere.

If you find anything else that's good let me know because I get asked about this all the time. KenK's samples are good too. There might be more on-line sample libraries too that contain what you need. Those things usually aren't hard to find if you Google.

kenk, thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. Cool site too.

kriz: thanks very much but there's no need to look any further than the freesound site. That's one of the few King Crimson albums I don't own, btw.

There are some samples here that might work for you .. not exactly a bar, per se, but interesting crowds and public places. Good quality samples too.
