Baroque Organ Work

This is a little (~3 min) organ piece, feel free to comment. Not much to it, no mixing, no effects, no mastering, just notes in a row.
I didn't play it, just wrote it.

I'm no expert on Baroque--but your song sounds good. 

Dang Greg this is different for you , did I get saved listening your song ? . LOL just kidding , sounded like one of those big church organ's .

James, it is me, sort of.
Clifford, you're right; it probably wouldn't be classified as 'baroque' at all, but that's what I was shooting for. I wish I could write the kind of organ music J.S. Bach wrote. As for "compositional format", I know next to nothing about music theory, or what constitutes a particular format. I have no formal musical education at all. I just like to make music. I'm happy you enjoyed it and gave you a nice interlude.
 
The organ is the Church Organ patch of my Yamaha keyboard. Reverb is the hardware 'verb from my Yamaha mixer.

on 2nd listen at times sounds as though a couple of the pedal notes are off?

So that got me wondering how I could check that (you may recall I scored low normal on the Coffee House Tone Deaf test) so I connected my guitar/bass tuner up to the keyboard and sure enough, as you go lower down the 'board, the notes get more flat. Good ears.
Using the tuning feature, I tuned it up 15 cents (I assume) and that seemed to get the Yamaha more in tune across it's 76 keys. Funny that it will play back notes that you can't play on the keyboard, down to C0.
I wonder if the instruments Yamaha sampled for the keyboard were all out of tune? It seems like with the tuning set at 0, it would be perfect.

I enjoyed it.  I was reading a story in the paper a few months back about the huge pipe organ in the Wanamaker store in Philadelphia(?).

They had let it fall into disrepair over time due to no budget to make repairs as things broke. And since it has tens of thousands of moving parts, it was getting in bad shape. They hired 2 full time restorers to work on repairing it...and one of them is also a concert level organist.

 Interesting stories.... We have a Methodist church here in Wilson that is quite old, in the downtown area. It has a pretty big pipe organ. I had the pleasure to hear a very talented organist there in concert. Quite amazing.

It's an 10 year-old PSR-GX76. Bought it and a TASCAM Portastudio 414 MkII to record my songs on back in 2001. Switched to computer recording the next year.
