Bass Synth pedal emulation vst

Hi there.  Is there a vst that emulates a bass synth pedal for a bass guitar?  I have tried the synth modules in podfarm but dont love them.  After a sound more like this pedal.

Possibly, Midi Guitar? You can play any of your VST synths through this.

Interesting!  Unfortunately the bass product is in beta right now.

Take any MIDI VST Sine-wave generator plug-in (Sonar Producer comes with at least one). Add it to a MIDI channel and play in the piano roll as usual. Then, you can add a distortion or over-drive plug-in to it for a more Taurus effect. I use bass pedals live, and that's really all I do. Sine-Wave with a tad of distortion.

    Hi
I was just looking at Bad Cat Samples and saw they have a Kontakt Instrument called Bass Pedal.
There doesn't seem to be much information or any demo's but it might be of interest to you.
    Cheers

Having used the Boss stuff, I can tell you that for the triggered stuff like the opening of that video (as opposed to the fuzzier waveshaped sounds), you have to play pretty clean and precise and generally avoid the lowest notes. Hence you might find just playing the part on keyboard much easier if you have the option.

I'm not aware of any VST's emulating the Boss stuff, but some of the guitar amp sims model the EH that Mike posted above.

For the waveshaped stuff, play around with fuzzy distortions through a synthy sounding (i.e. less wah-like; perhaps with a broader sweep and resonance set high) envelope filter - or just use a synth filter. For playing in real time, fuzz->EF often works better than a triggered synth (and is more fun) as you don't have to worry about tracking glitches.

You can also find the Boss pedals used for fairly cheap - and the same basic sounds have been included in most Boss bass multieffect pedals for quite a few years. I tend to like the synth sounds in Korg pedals better though.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.
