Come to think of it, I can only remember the name of ONE bass player in any of the (relatively few) bands I was in...
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I've found that even if juan were to own an Alembic bass, they still don't remember your name.

It's easy in my band, The Bass player and drummer are both called Dave. Once I remembered "Dave" I was good to go. They were both in another band before and split off to form our band. The old band re named it self "Dave's not Here"

This is actually, so true and I have a recent example that fits this perfectly. We have been members of our current Church for over 3 years. I have played Bass in the Worship Band for almost a year. Three weeks ago, one of the morning greater 's approached me between services. I thought she was going to say something like, "great job playing this morning in the first Service". Instead, she asks me if am a new member and what church have I been going too? I said, no....I've been here a while and I don't mean to cut you short, but I've got to go back on stage to play Bass, in a few minutes. So, yes....it's true.

Hi, If I had to say that something gets no respect, or needs more respect, then my favorite pick on is always the drummer ... you can turn to a country station, or a classics station and then a regular station and the drumming standard is exactly the same. So much "different" music, and yet, the "technique" and "music design" for the drumming is almost the same as anyone else, or someone just learning how to use the stix! It's weird! The best players I have ever met, did not sit here and say that I only do this, or that ... they do a lot more ... and better, and it is all a part of a greater whole, not just a rhythm section and some other comments, that bring the music down to what I imagine is an elementary level.
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
