Yep! Season with the SVT in Amp 4 to suit.

Good advice, although I sold the '67 EB-2 and use a Hamer Slammer.
I think because the short scale length is easier for me to manage.

bass (p-bass, musicmaster, edb) into fisher mini loudbox (acting as DI) into soundcard. fairly clean and some "natural" compression plus tone options. then VST amp etc to fit it.

I'd try a few different bass pedals for character (I currently use a Daring Audio Edge Activator HD), and run that into a good DI pre-amp. I currently use the Chandler Germ500 MkII. The "Thick" button opens up the bottom end for the bass in ways I can't describe. But you can run a pedal output (like a SansAmp) into any analog DAW input, for the most part. Be sure your TRS 1/4" input to the DAW allows for Unbalanced input.

Hey all... been off the grid for a bit, but I really appreciate reading about all the set-ups being used. Based on things I've read here, I have some homework to do to see what's going to work best for me. Anybody have a P-Bass laying around they're not using? Ha-ha!!

I plug my '62 Fender Jazz Bass directly into the Focusrite and record a clean bass track. I then send it via the pro channel trough the CA2A compressor then the tape emulator and console. I EQ the bass track to fit the song and I get the desired result every time without any other plug ins.
