Battery 3 (64bit) sample load is very slow. HELP!

Hey all,

Since moving to Win7 64bit and Sonar X1D the sample load time is very slow for me.

Either using individual cell loading (in kit preview) for B3's library files or using my own files within browser. Use to be almost instant (on XP) but now few seconds. Crippling when searching samples.

BTW B3 library and personal samples both have there own dedicated HDD

Please help if you can!

Much thanks,
Ste

What's the specs of the drive's they're on? Is it the same as before Win7? Is it a green drive? 5400 or 7200 RPM?

I have seen threads on the NI Kontakt forums where anti virus software was the cause of slow load times on a Mac. I now suspect that the slow load times for some Kontakt instruments I was seeing on my old were caused by Bullguard AV checking the sample files. In retrospect it never happened on monoliths, only patches with discrete samples which adds weight to the AV theory.

Thanks guys.  In fact Battery (Library) used to be on the same drive as SONAR but now I have it on a dedicated drive.  Its a 7200RPM drive.

Nexus Library files are also on the drive and I have notice a considerable improvement on loading that synth but Battery is quite the opposite.

Studio PC is not on NET and has no AV etc.
