* Battery Question *

I've been trying to make a kit of my favorite sounds from Battery 3 by taking samples from different kits and copying them into a NEW Battery 3 Kit. But it seems that when I copy the sound into a new kit, the sound changes...Does anyone know why?

THANKS!

    Sure. The other kit probably has cell effects happening, different envelopes, etc. And, most cells in the factory kits are multisampled as well.

    It works much better if you copy the cell instead of the samples themselves.

    thanks for the response ew...thats what I did. I copied the cell and pasted it into a new kit. When I played the sound from the new kit, it changed. It didn't happen for all the samples, but for about half of them.

    They were maybe originally going through the master effects? Check your sends and see if the master effects are on. Remember that everything sent through the master effects will have the effected sound on the master pair of outputs; the only effects on the selected outputs for the cell (if you're using multiple outs) would be the cell effects.
