Beatscape Outputs???

hi i have a problem although it's probably a simple thing im missing whilst using beatscape...

if i assign an audio file to pad 1 in beatscape and assign it to the stereo 1 output i also hear the pad 1 assigned audio file on outputs 2,3,4 etc i must be doing something wrong somewhere?
even when i go to the right hand side of beatscape in the edit view and the output says 1..
then i assign a sound to pad 2 and assign it to output 2 stereo..i then hear the pad 2 sounds on outputs 1,2,3,4 etc...what's up?
can't figure it out...when i first launch beatscape i open it with a track folder and activate all stereo outputs but something ain't right
