Beatscape content

Hi I'm assuming the beatscape content (loops etc.) that came with X1 is also in X2? I've got X1 and X2 on the same machine at the moment and am considering removing X1 soon and doing a fresh install of Windows and X2. Will I lose beatscape content or am I missing something? Thanks in advance. SJD

2hrs and no one helps.....Beatscape is a 32 bit beat making synth, not to be mistaken with the loops etc,and I only have it on my X1 dvd,I don't seem to have it in X2 at all?

Brandon, and Seth, had it as part of their browser on the X2 webinar,so I was thinking "it" would show up there but....

X2 includes the Beatscape content, not the Beatscape synth. The content is installed separately using the Loops_and_One_Shots installer. You can find it in \Cakewalk Content\Audio Library\Loops (and One Shots).

X2 does not include the Beatscape synth?  Is that true?  What a shame!   Beatscape is a hidden gem..  I wish there was a 64bit version.  :-)  Worth a paid upgrade to me

I see,my mistake,so the content of beatscape "is" part of the loops/one shots, which makes sense to me,as I never used the actual beatscape synth, espaecially as it was 32 bit only.
    Thanks for clarifying.

In X1, the Beatscape content used to be in a folder called Beatscape Factory Content, in a location of your choosing.  This folder had many subfolders that categorized the content.  In X2, Beatscape is no longer there, but the content is in Cakewalk Content\Audio Library folder, in only two subfolders that CW already maintains, Loops, and One Shots.  The content is no longer categorized, but just put in these two folders, as it makes it much easier to use with the X series Browser.  Much less folder navigation, as the Audio Library folder is already listed in the Browser drop down menu.  Makes it easier to audition and drag directly into the Clips pane.

I think people will find this a preferable way to work.  It's only possibly a problem if you still use the Beatscape plug in S 8.5 and don't want to keep two copies of all that content (a little more than 4 gb).  (CW doesn't remove the first copy of the content if it's already on your system so you'll have it twice, once in seperate folders, once not.)

Sonar Platinum (64-bit); many CW PC modules; endless plugins (most of which SPLAT doesn't list); Edirol PCR-800; Win10 Pro 64-bit; Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 interface; lots of hardware I don't actually use anymore; 1972 Rickenbacker 4001 bass (Chris Squire days); other basses, guitars, mics, etc.
