Beatscape moron

I started playing with Beatscape today, kinda cool, but I can't get any of it to play back. After I record it erases if I hit PLAY. I know, I know this is something dumb I;m not doing, but the info on this one is hard to come by. Also, I have a really robust system, 2 dual core Xeons, 8GB RAM, 3Gb/s hard drives, and I get all kinds of distortion and dropouts if I play some guitar with the Beatscape, or even sometimes when I just have a few Beatscape pads looping. The gain is low all around, STILL distorts. What am I doing? What am I not doing? I have an RME Fireface 800 hooked up as well, and I do run it at 96K, but from what I've read others doing, this should be fine. There must be something, I've heard guys running 100 tracks with effects no prob, etc. Someone PLEASE give me some help or tell me where to find it. I can't believe this.

No one, huh? Well, it really doesn't matter since Beatscape appears to be piece of crap anyway, it's crashed 3 times while I've been playing with it the last 2 days, maybe that's why my post gets 25 views and no replies. Not into ready-made material anyway, nust thought I could get some decent starting points and mod them into something creative.

How did you know I was Lonely? Must be something about me that makes people want to ignore me. Seriously though, I know you're right, there has to be some way to save this stuff or bounce to audio before I go to refcord another layer. I'll check out the tutorial, thank you very much.

if you want to do a bit more than the "standard"  , I'd say use RXP instead (but thats me coming from a reason background also) . I take things as I want people to not know where i got my loops etc from :)

Thanks Charlie, I found that file. It covers everything about creating sounds out of Beatscape. I think I need to go through this step by step to find out what I missed, because the it must have been the way I set it up. I don't do much MIDI, I'm mostly audio, and the MIDI sometimes confuses me in how or when or where it actually becomes audio. I think thats why after I record a set of pads to a track I can't play them back. Thanks to you too Fog! I'll also try RXP. I'm no snob to any technology out there, I may use mostly audio and like to hit my guitar pretty hard, but this stuff is cool and fun to plat woth. Like I said, it's not like I'm just gonna string together some loops "as is" and call it mine. Checked your stuff on Soundclick Charlie, liked it alot and I saw you do real well there on their charts. Cool sound, vocals and lyrics . . .that all sonar?
