Sounds good to me Terry, Volumes good for sure,, but everything sounds right in its proper place. The vocals are great, and so I can't find a thing wrong with it that would require a negative comment. Great remastering.

great song, awesome hooks,
reminds me along the lines of one of my fav bands "T-Rex"
and I love that, this is really original, even with the trex reference, doesn't mean it sounds like one of their songs.
just that style.
I do however hear a little too much compression, its not over bearing, but it is enough to push some of the dynamics of this song out of the natural feel.

Very catchy tune, Terry, and a generally well put together production. Personally, I would have liked to have heard just a tad more level on the vox but that may be just me. Really liked the tasty little piano riffs. Very nicely done.

Thank you, John, Charlie, Lynn and phil. I have always enjoyed the writing and performing part of my songs, but the other stuff has always been work for me. Thank you for the help I have had from you in the past. Now, Thank you for your kind words.
Charlie, T-rex came up in my music alot back in the early 2000s. I haven't heard T-rex come up since 2006. I always like when the name comes up. It's alot better than MJ coming to mind.LOL.
I hope to keep getting better, I knows there's room for that!!!

Typing as I listen... The first thing I noticed is that the compression needs to be pulled back...a lot. The kick is ducking everything else out whenever it hits, which makes the whole thing sound squashed and uneven. This doesn't seem to be affecting the vocals - I'm guessing they're on their own bus. Speaking of drums, the hi-hat / cymbals could probably come down quite a bit. They've got a lot of great sparkle, so no one's going to have a problem hearing them if they drop by 4db or so. As it is, they're a little harsh. I'm always surprised how little cymbal is actually needed. I also find that removing almost all of the reverb from the hi-hat helps to tighten up your "space." The arrangement is great - all of the instruments play their roles well. I would look for a better strings patch if you've got one - something that feels a little more real. I'd also like to hear a snazzier guitar solo, or maybe just a bigger sound for the guitar during its solo. It felt weak and buried compared to the other elements. I noticed a few places where it seemed like there should be crash cymbals...but there weren't. Made some of the great drum rolls feel a little anti-climactic. I want that sweet payoff! My last criticism would be...is there no kick drum on the very last note of the song? If there is, I can't hear it - might be the result of the harsh compression again. At any rate, that last hit feels week without that thump. NOW! Onto the good stuff... I love the little bells on the far right. Great addition - keeps me engaged. The song is catchy as f*ck. It ended about two minutes ago and I still have it playing in my head. The big hook is simple enough lyrically and melodically for me to sing along if I wanted after the first time hearing it, which is great. There are a few awkward lyrical moments, but nothing worth stressing about. I loved the vocal. It has a very retro feel from the annunciation all the way to the production with the loose doubles. I don't know where this kind of music fits in today's world, but I enjoyed the listen, so screw it! With a little mixing work, it'll be even better. Thanks for sharing!

Nice work. Song craft is pretty good. I noticed some compression problems as well. If you can get that under control I think this would be a fine production. Playing is very good.

IF you can hear the compressor .... it's set too heavy. This is a good example of that. In my productions I probably error of the side of "not enough compressor" in the mix. I do use them and generally it's in Ozone..... multi-band compressor set to a very reasonable and low level just to tighten things up a bit mostly on the bottom. Aside from the issue with the compressor.... this is nicely done. I like the song and the production and playing is spot on. I did catch the T-Rex vibe from this as well. Listening on small computer speakers ... it sounds fairly well balanced.

Thank you much for your thoughts, I can hear a problem very clear. I don't have any compression on the drums at all, so it must be from the boost 11 on the master. I've having a bit of a time trying to fix this. Thank you all for the catch.
