Been working on this for awhile.

Thanks for any insight on structure and/or mix.

    Hey Tim,

Excellent song. The only crit I have is, and this could be my ears going :( or soundclick, the percussion almost sounds like clicks to me and I can't make out what it is playing in the background.

I'm listening on my Yamaha HS-80's.

    Great song!

    Bub.

    Must... Resist... Urge...

I really liked this. I enjoy all of your music, and respect you very much as a musician/song writer/ and engineer. One of my major influences was CSN, and your music seems to be in that vein to me a lot of the time. This also had an ELP vibe (strong one) But without Palmer's timing discrepancies? It's just always good. TIMAAAAAAY!!! (Bless me father for I have sinned...)

And, you're not supposed to make out what's playing. It's just sound:)

Thanks Robbay. I hope that didn't hurt too much.

Thanks rhyno. Glad someone made it to the solo:)

Thanks Mgh. I tend to like guits back in a track. Or, more secinkly(sp?) the rythm more out front:), Thanks

    Another tour-de-force Tim!
Love how this one builds, from one man one guitar to full blown production, really killer arrangement.
I like how you mixed the solo, the distorted tone and having it mixed back a little gives it a cool retro sound.
All in all just a really great job bud!!

Hey Tim- The tune is great, the vocal is sheer perfection, the acoustic guitar tone was just remarkable and the mix about 99.9% there (IMO- a few crashes that could be a little more muted, but nothing glaring).  A great listen for me.

Did you consider an EP pad coming in maybe midway?  That might be sweet, though you'd run the risk of crowding up the mid some.  Just a thought.  Great Job.

Thanks Bob. LOL, I had to look up 'tour-de-force '. I'll take that.  Thanks Bob.

Hey Phil. Yea, the crashes were a head scratcher for me. I just figured they were where they were for a reason so I left them a little hot. got your attention though, didn't it?  The EP pad would be nice. I agree. I fooled around with some stuff. The "coming in" is easy. It's the "where to now" that got me. Thanks Phil

That's sweet Janet. Thanks. Your piano pieces are just as beautiful in case you didn't notice.

Excellent job all around!! The little clicks sounds in the background cought my attention, had to really listen hard to make out if they were a thin conga or bongo or wood block..very nice touch.
Really like the decay lenght of the crashes, couple of them just a touch loud,as said earlier.
But once again very nice piece of work.

Wow.  What wonderful seperation of each of the instruments.  Real cool sound and a great song idea.

I think I would like to hear the dist. lead guitar a little louder where it comes in at about 3:19.  Just my opinion, but I think it could come up to the level of the vocals and sound great.  It is a good performance - you should show it off a little.

Stunning song Tim, right up my street. Vocals and guitar are just perfect, but I agree that the percussion could come up a little, I had to strain to hear it.
I liked the distorted solo, that's the kind of thing John Martyn used to do over a groove like this.

    Excellent.
