Been gone for a while - indirectly supporting the efforts in Japan

A friend of mine is on one of the Search & Rescue teams.  I was house/pet sitting while he was away.  He's back now.  Frustrated, tired, depressed.  Luckily, they have staff professionals to decompress these folks so they can lead normal lives again.  He described the things he saw and smelled.  All incredible.  All sad.  It takes special kinds of people do do what they do.  I hope we (I) never need to use their talents.

That was very generous of you Katie... it's hard for people to just leave their homes to help other people.

It must have been a relief for your friend to know that the home was secure while he was helping others.

    Good job!

Good to see you're back!  I figured you'd simply gone off to some other place that featured witty, intelligent discourse.  (You're not just here to get the coffee mug you left are you?  Bapu hid it just in case...)

I wish we (Americans) could be as tolerant and selfless as the Japanese people have shown during this crisis.  Nice to hear that you were able to help the efforts in your own way.

On thing he did talk about that made him smile was that there was no looting...nada....zero.  The demeanor of the people amazed him.  He's been on other missions (i.e. Hati, Turkey) where looting was the norm.

But I'm still not gonna just tell you (or show you) where your coffee cup is.

Thanks, but watching a Townhouse and walking a Basset Hound is far from noble in my book.  Besides, I ate all his cheesecake.

Additionally, the coffee cup can only gain value being bathed in the aura of your presence while in your possession.

But the cheesecake would have gone bad and smelled up the place.

OK,k so maybe you're not noble, but you're not common either.
    (or are you?)

Take note one and all how Miss Katherine subtly rises above the rest of us like a flower over fertilizer!  While she's off being noble, we just stay here and be all bull.

    (or do we?)

I take offense.  I never will be above others - and when a person thinks that they are, they are less then anyone else.

Besides.  I put on my pantyhose just like you and Bapu...one leg at a time. (or do you put on both legs a once?...we need a video clip)
