Robin,

I'm running SONAR X1 (64-bit) on an i7. I'm having minor problems with the Cori Yarckin project that appear to be related to the effects that were used. On loading, I get an error regarding the Cakewalk Tempo Delay which is not being found on X1 64-bit. I also discovered that the Guitar Rig 4 instances are not actually loading any presets and appear to just be passing the audio thru untouched.

I was really excited to see the automation on the tracks working out my VS-700's faders, but the guitars are all out of wack and are pretty much killing the tracks vibe.

Is there anyway that you could upload the correct presets for Guitar Rig? I'm also wondering if the tempo delay is supposed to function under X1 (64-bit) or if maybe there is a problem with my install?

-e.B

Yes, please upload the presets for GR4 for this song as people that own GR4 PRO did not have to install the lite version and without it, the presets are empty for this project.

I have tried buffers at all settings (all the way up to 1024) the only thing I get on occation is the CPU meters reading (not very high either).
no audio!
My Rig is in my Signature

John - No audio?  Ok, when I opened this project for the first time and the other demo song for the first time, both of their Master busses were not routed to the final audio device buss, so there was no audio for me either.  Have you checked that?  For some reason you have to manually rout the master buss to your device.

OK that worked. IT plays perfectly with no pops or crackles, but the Guitar Rig 4's (full versions) are just set to clean preamp like you would get when you first open it. I guess I could just add a preset but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
Thanks for getting me this far but do you have any more ideas on the GR4 thing?

Runs very smooth on my box...would make me wonder otherwise...my 4GHz 6-core barely chuckles...160 Samples buffer on the Saffire 40...
I just love the multicore support in Sonar :-)

I think mine might have snickered a little, but that's about it.

Just sayin' that the project is not thaaaat intense for current hardware. Already has a lot of waves and frozen synths. I think "European Space Adventure" from the Sonar 8 demos was much more demanding as all the synths were still "live".

But kudos to Danny for running this on the realtek chip 2048 samples(!)

FWIW running buffers @ 96 samples I get 65-75% CPU (via SysInternal Process Explorer) and some crackles (greatly reduced after reading brundleflys post re PX64)
@ 128 samples I get 55-65% CPU & no crackles
System specs in sig below

edit to add: full GR installed so no presets are loaded in the project

LOL doc, I can actually get that poor lil Realtek rig to run at 64 samples when I record on it (as long as I don't have a billion things already running in the song) and the cool thing for me is due to using a mixing console without the need for direct input monitoring, I can actually leave the 2048 where it is unless I need to print a VSTi in real time. I'm actually excited to see how this project plays on my real recording pc...I got an i7 930 with 12 gig of ram built by Jim Roseberry that I've been enjoying. I've just been a bit scared to put X1 on it in the event it *may* change some things. I've read a few stories from people that they think it may have altered a few settings and I just don't want to take the chance yet since what I have going on is absolutely perfect on that box....and I'm too swamped with work to take the chance.

But it's nice to know X1 runs really well on this little net box I'm using. :)
