Best Meaningless Lyrics

I am going for King Crimson - Happy with what you have to be happy with

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swTPVxlphRg
or live:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWN9oqTSs14

And when I have some words,
This is the way i'll sing
through a distortion box
to make them menacing

Yeah, then Im gonna have to write a chorus
We're gonna need to have a chorus
And this seems to be as good as any other place
To sing until I'm blue in the face

Oh, step aside, y'all ornery tender feet
'Cause I'm about to sing my song

I'm an old cowhand from the Rio Grande
But my legs ain't bowed and my cheeks ain't tan
Well I'm a cowboy who never saw a cow
Never roped a steer 'cause I don't know how
And I sure ain't fixin' to startin' now
    Yippee-i-o-ki-ay, hey yippee-i-o-ki-ay

I'm an old cowhand from the Rio Grande
And I learned to ride before I learned to stand
Well I'm a ridin' fool who is up to date
I know every trail in the Lone Star State
'Cause I ride the range in a Ford V-8
    Oh, yippee-i-o-ki-ay, hey yippee-i-o-ki-ay

Look out, I'm gonna show y'all how to ride now
    Here we go

I'm an old cowhand from the Rio Grande
And I come to town just to hear the band
I know all the songs that the cowboys know
'Bout the big corral where the dogies go
'Cause I learned them all on the radio
    Oh, yippee-i-o-ki-ay, yeah yippee-i-o-ki-ay

Now my story's almost done, so listen up!
You ain't got much longer now

I'm an old cowhand from the Rio Grande
Where the west is wild round the borderland
Where the buffalo roam around the zoo
And the Indians make you a rug or two
And the old Bar X is the Barbecue
    Oh, yippee-i-o-ki-ay, hey yippee-i-o-ki-ay
    Hey yippee-i-o-ki-ay
    I'm just an old cowhand

    More in the mind
    Than the body this feeling
    A sense at the end
    Of a circular line
That is drawn at an angle
I see when I'm with you
To navigate waters and finally answer to-yes.

    Or, from the same album:

    You walk, the way
    You take, the path
    To be, assured
    You draw, a graph
    The scale, you use
    Is all, on black
    Be brave, the weight
    Will make, the heat
    There is, no way
    To take-it back.

    We're so sorry, Uncle Albert,
We're so sorry if we caused you any pain.
    We're so sorry Uncle Albert,
But there's no one left at home
And I believe I'm gonna rain.
We're so sorry but we haven't heard a thing all day.
    We're so sorry, Uncle Albert.
But if anything should happen well be sure to give a ring.

    We're so sorry, Uncle Albert,
But we haven't done a bloody thing all day.
    We're so sorry, Uncle Albert,
But the kettles on the boil and we're so easily called away.

You'd have to go some to beat Becks 'I'm a loser'

In the time of chimpanzees I was a monkey
Butane in my veins and I’m out to cut the junkie
With the plastic eyeballs, spray-paint the vegetables
Dog food stalls with the beefcake pantyhose
Kill the headlights and put it in neutral
Stock car flamin’ with a loser and the cruise control
Baby’s in reno with the vitamin d
Got a couple of couches, sleep on the love-seat
Someone came sayin’ I’m insane to complain
About a shotgun wedding and a stain on my shirt
Don’t believe everything that you breathe
You get a parking violation and a maggot on your sleeve
So shave your face with some mace in the dark
Savin’ all your food stamps and burnin’ down the trailer park Yo. cut it.
Soy un perdedor I’m a loser baby, so why don’t you kill me? (double barrel buckshot) Soy un perdedor I’m a loser baby, so why don’t you kill me?
Forces of evil on a bozo nightmare
Ban all the music with a phony gas chamber ’cuz one’s got a weasel and the other’s got a flag
One’s on the pole, shove the other in a bag
With the rerun shows and the cocaine nose-job
The daytime crap of the folksinger slob
He hung himself with a guitar string
A slab of turkey-neck and it’s hangin’ from a pigeon wing
You can’t write if you can’t relate
Trade the cash for the beef for the body for the hate
And my time is a piece of wax fallin’ on a termite who's chokin’ on the splinters
Soy un perdedor I’m a loser baby, so why don’t you kill me? (get crazy with the cheese whiz) Soy un perdedor I’m a loser baby, so why don’t you kill me? (drive-by body-pierce) (yo bring it on down) Soooooyy.... ?em llik uoy t'nod yhw os ,ybab resol a m'I rodedreP nu yos [It's the Chorus backwards] (I’m a driver, I’m a winner; things are gonna change I can feel it)

I don't know.  I sort of like Beck's lyrics there.  I'm not saying they're grammatically or logically correct, but I like the juxtaposition of visual elements.

Oh, back to the topic at hand.

    Tinkywinky. "Tinkywinky!"
    Dipsy. "Dipsy!"
    Laalaa. "Laalaa!"
    Po. "Po!"
    Teletubbies. "Teletubbies!"
    Say, Heeeeee-lo! "Eh-oh!"
    Tinkywinky. Dipsy. Laalaa. Po.
    Teletubbies. "Teletubbies!"
    Say Heeeeeee ......... "Uh-oh!"

Funny that you both mention songs from Drama (written by Trevor Horn, I believe) as if any of Jon Anderson's lyrics make sense!

Wow, I forgot to include my traditional entry (for every time this topic has come up)...

Everything Zen by Bush (WTH?  I mean really, WTH?)

There must be something we can eat
    Maybe find another lover
Should I fly to Los Angeles
    Find my a**hole brother
Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow
    Dave's on sale again
We kissy kiss in the rear view
    We're so bored
    You're to blame

Try to see it once my way
    Everything zen
    Everything zen
    I don't think so

    Raindogs howl for the century
    A million dollars a stake
As you search for your demi-god
And you fake with a saint
There's no sex in your violence
There's no sex in your violence

Try to see it once my way
    Everything zen
    Everything zen
    I don't think so

I don't believe that Elvis is dead
I don't believe that Elvis is dead
I don't believe that Elvis is, Elvis is

There's no sex in your violence

The Song of the Seagoat - Pete Sinfield

The sea goat casts Aquarian runes through beads of mirrored tears,
Suave pirates words of apricot crawl out of your veneer
Anoint your eyes with Midas' oil and make it still appear

The rest is on Sinfield's site - A great place to visit if you are a King Crimson, Pete Sinfield or ELP fan.

    Siberian Khatru - Yes

Even Siberia goes through the motions,
    Hold out and hold up,
    Hold down the window,
Hold out the morning that comes into view,
    Blue tail, tail fly,
River running over the outboard, river,
    Blue tail, tail fly

    Terminal Eyes - Al Stewart

Cut glass porcupine sailing on the Serpentine
Fingers on the skyline pulling down the black blinds
Terminal eyes at the edge of the night
Rivulet of dark wine moving in a straight line
Sumdging out the stop signs, running down the life lines
Terminal eyes at the edge of the night

Ian Anderson's Thick As A Brick 1 & 2, there's nothing on either album that makes a lick of sense.

An example...Fray Bentos Pie for dinner, always a winner.

Anything by the late Spike Jones?

Very politically incorrect, and couldn't begin to type it out, but say his Hawaiian War Chant?

    "Lyrics" can be found on-line.

Makes a lot of sense if you grew up in the UK during the '60's & '70's.
