Best Places for a Custom Studio PC?

Hey everyone,

I am currently looking to get a new studio pc and I would like to know what suggestions you have for decent pc makers.  The studio pc I have been using for awhile now was one I made but had some help with.  Sadly the help is gone now and I really am worried about building one all on my own.

A few years ago I bought a machine from Cyberpower PC and it has been great with one exception.  It makes a ton of noise. The pc sounds more like a jet engine when I turn it on.  I know it's mostly a site for gamers but the options they give you are far more than any other site I know about.  I've checked out ones like sweetwater but their pc's seem horribly overpriced.  I would go with Inta Audio but it doesn't look like they ship to the US.

Budget is around $800-$1000 and I hope to get something with 16GB of RAM

Thanks!

You've certainly come to the right place. These two guys are the best and are right here in the forums.

You might also want to consider in talking to either one, as your DAW can be custmoized to fit your needs/budget.*

*(I don't work nor get paid to promote them, but everyone here have had positive experiences with these DAW builders......being free or paid advice........however, I certainly would not discourage them if they choose to pay me ) .

Ah, on your old computer is there a BIOS setting where you can adjust the fan speed? There is in my BIOS. If I do not use Smart Fan, then the fan runs at full speed all the time, and it makes a lot of noise. Using smart fan in the BIOS setting, I never hear the fan in my computer, and I have played games, and anything where you may want to run it full speed, but the computer always works with smart fan setting and never overheats.

I recently purchased a new system from Jim and would recommend him highly.

I have also heard nothing but praise for Scott and his company either.

My suggestion would be to scrape up a few more bucks just because it will keep your new system from being obsolete for a longer period of time.
Every time I try to save a few bucks I always wish hadn't within a week or two.
