Best Practices Process from MIDI files to Kinetic Patterns

Hello All,

What is your best recommendation to go from a midi file or something created/imported into Cakewalk/Sonar and you want to use it within Kinetic?

Is there a better way to create a pattern versus using the step editor or piano roll view within Kinetic?

My main reason for asking is that although I feel comfortable in using the piano roll, it is not my preferred method for creating music.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Peace,
