tricky to say, I mean I like buying models of synths more than samples..

and you'd either buy 1 or the other I guess in most cases.

I have never used it but from my reading I don't see how it beats Omnisphere or Alchemy. They both give you iPad apps also that you can use to control the synths for performance which is very handy. I suppose if I demo'ed it I would find some uses but I just don't see anything that it brings to the table that I don't have in Omnisphere except if you can import your own samples which you cannot do in Omnisphere (at least for now....who knows what winter NAMM will bring from Persing and Co).

the thing is that it seems to sound more pro ...not layered with tons of reberbs delay ect ...so you can do whatever you want with it ......omnisphere is great but really cinematic/industrial oriented .... didn't tried alchemy...

Omnisphere can make any sounds you want and the reverb that is in presets is easy enough to get rid of. Just get into the effects racks inside Omnisphere and add or remove whatever you want. Very simple to get dry sounds. Save the result as a user patch and you are good to go.

I use Omnisphere all the time in X1c and it is completely stable. Full 64 bit and controllable via a free iPad application even which is really cool. We had a forum topic on that not too long ago cause nobody could figure out how to record the automations from the iPad but it got solved and it is very cool to use.

You just have to use the serial number you get then you get on their site and they give you a code I believe. It has been a while. No iLok though and you don't have to be on the internet to use it.
