What, nothing for those in the drought areas?

You know, you'd think there'd be an obvious solution to both problems wouldn't ya?

I wasn't aware of any missing or dead victims caused by drought.  They deserve our best wishes, too; but I don't see the urgency regarding that.  It certainly would be useful to bring some of the flood waters to the drought-stricken areas, let me know when you figure out a way to do that.

Wasn't being too serious (when am I ever?), but nature does seem to overdo things on both ends of the spectrum.

I know, Craig.  I didn't take your comment too seriously, but I could see where others might.  So I felt like I had to say something.  You're correct about the whims of Mother Nature, though.

Hopefully no one here on the CH was affected by the storms. The pics coming across the news don't look good at all. Large chunks of missing infrastructure and buried cars are enough to convince me it's downright bad in some places there. I'm sure some folks from the Jersey shore can relate to a sudden calamity that changes your whole life in an instant. Then there are the wildfires. It ain't good at all, no sir.

I have been having these dreams about water lately. In one I was with the wife at some kind of a resort and I left for our car  a few minutes ahead of her. I couldn't find the car and while searching for it I heard a loud noise, looked toward the beach and there was a huge tsunami breaking over the trees about 200 yards from my location. I was hanging onto a hill alongside a road that had a steep grade downward that was part of a golf course. IOW I was screwed. I never seen the ending though.

In another  dream I was with people who were stranded because of mass flooding. In trying to find a way across a river we found a bridge that was partially washed out but some people had made a temporary connection with what they could find.I was somehow elected to attempt a crossing to get help. The plan didn't work and I found myself in the river but I made it to the other side a ways down stream. Then there was this town with these teens running round' everywhere. I don't remember the rest. I think I need to lay off those late night food combinations. Last night the sardines, oreo cookies, boiled eggs and baked beans didn't sit well.If I had made the chocolate brownies only God knows what kind of a dream it might have been.
