The original Newsgroup Coffeehouse was a knockdown, dragout slugfest where no one was spared. Now...it appears that the entire journey is at an end. I don't think the new forum will accommodate even this rather sedated and moderate outfit. It is Coffeehouse Curtains 1998-2019. Hmm...I wonder if that old USENET groups still exists. That may be the only option.

Ah, I remember those days. I liked newsgroups, and the Cakewalk one was a good one. It was great seeing all your subscribed newsgroups in the one newsgroup client. Pity porn spam killed them off.

The coffee house in the new forum seems to be going well. The usual suspects are there, and it really doesn't feel much different from here.

I think everyone is still on their best behaviour, 'cos it's new and they're afraid to tread on the carpet with their dirty boots on. Plus it's a popularity contest now, so there's that. It could use a little of CH v1.0, but not too much IMO.
