BionicSupaDelay

Free or donationware.

This is really a fine delay unit. Has all the basic bells and whistles. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out what some of the controls did, but it is all there. Modulation of the signals, tone filters, mono to ping pong in a full spectrum. Host sync. Has an on board reverb. Pitch shift section.

Very much worth the download. There's a wow and flutter vst on the page that has some possibilities as well.

    No feedback on this?...
With all respect for another offering, runs rings around the DDLY freebie that's getting all the press and spotlight.
Superior delay unit and no call response activation crap.

May be a prejudice against 32-bit/SynthEdit plugins. Maybe it has too many knobs. Dunno.

Most likely, it's just general burn-out on the subject of delays. There have been so many lately, and it's not a terribly exciting category to begin with.

I agree that there are many products out there that are superior to DDLY. Last year it was Replika that was getting all the attention, and I never understood why. Before that it was NastyDLA, another SynthEdit product that was actually pretty good but nobody talks about anymore. RP-Delay was another one that was a hot topic for awhile and then faded away. Folks get excited about new products but eventually discover that - yawn - they're just another delay.

Of all the delays that have made a splash in the last few years, only one has actually earned a permanent slot in my go-to roster: tkDelay. Not free, but cheap.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Knew that this was 32 bit, but missed the Synth Edit part, and carry a deep racial bias against most things Synth Edit. Likely from the early days when the bugs were in excess and quality was marginal in many of the modules.

Not a bad unit though. Actually, a really great unit. Has about everything one could want in a basic delay. Posted this because A/B with DDLY put Bionic on higher ground in several realms as freebie of the week (in my opinion).

But like you said, at the end of the day, just another delay. Will be playing with this as my go to echo box for at least a month until something else comes out. The search never ends.
