BitBridge and sound qaulity?

I know this has been asked before probably. Is there a possibility of degraded sound quality when using BitBridge to port a 32 bit plug in X1 64? I have compared the audio quality of a track using BitBridge in 64 with the same original track in 32 and I seem to hear a clarity in the original as opposed to the BitBridge track. I'm not trusting my ears this morning because of a heavy day in the studio yesterday. I just wondered, technically speaking, is there a possibility of degradation using BitBridge. I would love to hear some input from anyone here. Thanks!

Strictly speaking, bridging should have no effect on audio quality, as it is just the "width" of the data chunks being translated, not the bit-depth of the audio. This does not, however, preclude programming errors in Bitbridge affecting the sound. And in fact Bitbridge has a bug that results in an empty buffer of audio being added to the output of some synths, causing them to play back late by whatever the size of your audio buffer is. But this may not affect all bridged synths (I first observed it with BFD Eco), and would not generally manifest as a loss of "clarity".

For reference, the third-party Jbridge does not exhibit this buffering error.
