Blofeld don't show proper patchname in Sonar PE 8.5? Templete?
Hello Perhaps this is the easiest question in the world. Anyway, I am not really sure where to start, so I try to explain instead. I bougth a Waldorf Blofeld yestarday. Seem like a nice machine, even though the Virus snow kicks better right now... Now.. I have set up the Blofeld, and I get it into Sonar. I can play the synth via Midi (use USB cable) and I do get sound from the synth. The problem is that the patch names from the Blofeld don't show up in Sonar. It is just the standard GM names. I guess I need to set up a template or something for the synth? Am I right? I guess it should't be that hard, but I have no idea where to start. Please some help would be very nice:) PS It is the same thing for my Virus Snow. In the patch name list looks like this none Virus Settings 1 2 3 4 etc... to 127. On the other hand, I use the Virus Control so I see the names there, but it would be nice to get in in Sonar as well. Guess the process will be similar to that for the Blofeld? Thank you in advance!

You need to get an INS file for it. Try cakewalknet.com. If its not there, you may have to create your own. There's instructions on cakewalknet.com that tell you how to do that. Read the section in the Help menu on Instrument Definitions.

Perhaps you spelled it wrong as you did here. It's Inst rument Definition.
