Blue Ridge Rangers

If there was to be such a thing as a movie of my life, it would have to open with that song:

This has to be my very first musical memory. Must have been 3 or 4 max.
 
I remember constantly asking my mom to put it on and I'd go completely nuts, jumping around and playing air guitar. Sometimes she'd put it on when we had visitors so that I'd provide a little entertainment and make them laugh I guess...
 
As a french speaking kid who couldn't read, to me, this one was referred to as "Offmeeastow" and I never knew the actual title nor who performed it until very recently when I traced it back. I guess have what you'd call a photographic auditive memory, so even though I hadn't heard it in over 35 years, I knew that the singer sounded pretty much like John Fogerty, which helped me find the song.
 
Feels weird to listen to that song after so many years and I realize that it was pretty much printed as is, note for note, in my brain - every little thing, every guitar lick and the actual guitar sounds...
 
All I've ever heard from the Blue Ridge Rangers album was that single. But I guess that if I had to create a list of the most important albums in my life, this one would have to be at the very top. So there is some country-ish music in my list after all.
