Bon Iver's 33 "GOD"

<edit>
Updated the vocals -- in final form, i think.

This is a cover of my favorite tune from the new Bon Iver album.  I've licensed it and plan to release it as a Hummingbird Cinema tune.  While it still needs polishing (especially some of the vocal passages), I thought it might be ready for feedback now.

The lyrics are somewhat inscrutable but have a subtle sense of humor, which I like.  The original version really warps and twists the vocals, so I've done some of that as well.  It's been fun messing around with it -- hopefully that spirit of fun comes across in the mix.

    As I needed a point of reference I went and listened to Bon Iver's version, I see what you mean about warped and twisted vocal's.  You have the basis there I will keep the ears out for the more polished version, thanks for sharing.

    While there are a few spots where I'm having a hard time understanding the lyrics, overall, this is a pretty cool cover. You did I nice job with vibe of the song.

    Taking this as it is without listening to the original, it sounds very nice indeed through headphones. Vocal treatments are really warm sounding. I'm guessing Bon Iver may be influenced by Laurie Anderson?

    This song is stunning.  Your vocal treatment is way cool, even if the lyrics aren't clear as day.  Your voice is the lead instrument, and you played it well.  Congratulations, you made me learn about Bon Iver!  Btw, your coexist loge is cool, too.

    All the best,

    Wookiee, thanks as always for listening!
    Dan, thanks for your comments and time.  I am on the fence between making passages clearer or following the nature of the original.  Still undecided on that issue.
    James, thanks for listening.  You are probably right: I think Laurie Anderson can be counted as the root behind any heavily processed or vocoder-treated vocals.
    Lynn, thanks so much for the praise.  Means a lot.  If I introduced somebody to Bon Iver, the time was well spent.

    I am working on finishing it this week so if anybody has any ideas for improvements or changes, I am all ears.
