Boss RC-50 and Windows Vista

Hi there,
new to this forum so take it easy on me

I have recently purchased the Boss RC-50 after owning the RC-2 for sometime.

I upgraded to allow me to export/import WAV files for backup etc.

Even though Roland.com website states that the RC-50 is compatible with Windows Vista I cannot get my laptop to recognise the fact there is something plugged in via USB - there are no driver updates available, assuming because it's meant to work straight up!! If I plug in the USB mouse or any other unit - hey presto no worries - when plugging in RC-50 I get nothing, zero, zip, nada....

HELP!!! I only bought the RC-50 AND the laptop to specifically do this so if it no working then I wasted alot of coin!!
