Bounce to Audio

Hey all, I've never actually had to try this before but I've got a pretty intensive track with lots of synths.
Is there way for me to bounce instrument tracks to audio? Bounce to Tracks... tells me there is no audio selected. I know I can freeze the track but I just want the audio.

Then - select the audio. You must select both the MIDI track and the corresponding audio output track to bounce (or export).
Selecting the clips won't select the track, you need to click the track number.

Ah, Kalle got in there just before me.

I was going to say, for the first several months of owning/using Sonar, I always had incredible difficulty figuring out how to export audio, it's incredibly unintuitive.

    But yeah, as Kalle said,

Make sure both the midi track and it's audio/instr out track are selected,
Drag a selection across the time at the top of the track for how long you want
Then go to Edit>Bounce to Tracks

Hmmm- I can't see anything unintuitive in it, as I've never used other DAWs :o). When I got SONAR, I read in the manual how it's done, and then I've always done it the same way. No intuition needed, just a few minutes of reading.:o)

i usualy just freeze the synth then i clone that the freezed track to an audio track.
though maybe there is a better way.

Beat me to it Charlie. Just freeze the synth - nothing could be simpler.

    I don't even clone.

In fact, the only time I even freeze my synths these days is when a project is finished and I save an alternative "audio only" version of the project.

Unless I've got more than one  instance of Rapture of course  (separate thread, different issue)
