Bounce to track problem X1d

Thought I'd throw this out and see if anyone else has run across this problem or what I might be doing wrong:

I used Melodyne plug-in on a vocal track to pitch correct a couple of vocal passages.  I then tried to bounce this to a new track with all the usual check boxes including Track FX and such checked.  The resulting bounced track plays back with no pitch correction effect applied.  The identical procedure in 8.5.3 works just fine; this only seems to be happening to me in X1d.

To confirm this, after I pitch corrected everything, I saved the file and then tried the Bounce to Track function in both X1d and 8.5.3 on the same project file, same track.  Bouncing in 8.5.3 yielded a new audio track with the proper correction effects applied.  In X1d it was as if I had left the Track FX box unchecked even though I hadn't.  When the pitch corrected track (not the bounced track) is played back live, the corrections work just fine in X1d...they only seem to disappear in the bounced track.  (and yes, I triple-checked...the Track FX box is indeed selected ON when I bounce)

What am I doing wrong?

(Incidentally, this is why I am still one of the apparent minority that has yet to fully jump on the X1 bandwagon.  I keep running into head-scratching problems like this that really slow up the work.  8.5.3 isn't perfect, but I know where all the nooks, crannies and operational bugaboos are, so it's still much less headache for me when I'm trying to get something done in a limited time frame...well, that and I LOATHE the blue and gray color scheme...gotta get a third party color scheme downloaded soon! )

Thanks!
Mike

I thought it was just me.  I was editing a client's vocal line and Melodyne/Sonar wouldn't bounce correctly.  To this day, it isn't corrected.

Its a bug in Sonar X1d
My workaround until its fixed is to solo the track and bounce it using the main outs as the source. Make sure you disable any effects on the master, so you don't run the bounce audio through the same after its bounced

Wow, that's terrible. Is it just a bug in X1d, or did it exist in X1c and before? Do you know if Cake is aware of the bug?

It has been like this for me since X1-

If you bounce it to another track without fast bounce checked, the melodyne editing will go with it.

In Sonar 8.5.3 I can bounce to clip and everything is there.

For me, melodyne fast bounce to clip broke as of X1D. Also Antares bounces with effect, just not the graphical changes you tell it to do since X1D. Been having to use 8.53 for tuning and time stretching (audio snap not functioning as expected since X1D) Sent files to customer support, they are aware of the issue.

I wonder if it's an issue with Cakewalk or with Celemony. I do remember reading a forum post by a Cakewalk worker that said there was a bug with Melodyne, but was a problem with Celemony and that they had communicated the problem to them. Can't remember if its the same bug as this

    Hmm:

Quick questing since this inquiring mind wants to know .....

Is this behavior limited to Melodyne / Antares pitching tools - any other 3rd party plugs not bouncing?

    Does V-Vocal work?

Don, I got no problems with V-Vocal on my end. Bounce to clip works perfectly for me. I think the Melodyne issue is when you use the plugin. I have it in my Sonar Tools menu...so it exports my wave into Melodyne editor and I work it that way.

Well, at least it's not me doing something bone-headed for a change!  My usual tendency would be to blame Melodyne first given the unmitigated disaster that Melodyne Editor proved to be for me in Sonar (haven't tried the newest version, though, in all fairness...after giving up on several "bug-fixed" versions I just threw in the towel and went back to the old Plug-in version).  However, since it works fine in 8.5.3, I'm with Lance in thinking that doesn't wash.

The whole things fits with my view that X1 in general has been one long, bumpy, irritating and less-than-satisfactory roll out of a new version of Sonar...and this is coming from a die-hard user of Sonar since back around version 5.  I really, really want to like X1d, honest I do, but I just can't quite get there from here yet.  For my money, I'd rather less time was spent developing all manner of high-end channel strip hardware emulations and a little more time on making the basic functions of the software a bit more air-tight first.  Just my $0.02, of course.

not trouble with vvocal-- besides the fact if you leave the track w vvocal running and dont bounce, it will crash as soon as i start working on another clip.\
this was true in 8-5  and  i guess forced me to bounce eveythime i change a clip, as i should be doing anyhow, and as always i used CJ's workaround and now it works.

Ok.  Works but you cannot do a fast bounce, it must be real time.

I can bounce to track but with fast bounce unchecked - no biggy on small clips
