Bouncing Two Tracks To One Track?

That's doable right? I select the two tracks. They show as the source in the bounce dbx and a single track shows as the destination but I get two tracks after bouncing. Missing something simple.

Stereo tracks bouncing to two mono tracks ? there is a setting to determine which way stereo tracks will bounce. Either one interleaved track or two mono tracks. Maybe this is it?

Larry I would route the two tracks to a buss and export that buss only then import the exported file. The buss will mix the tracks. You could call it the Mix Buss.

Thanks for the reply wilqen. I have a mono organ clip on one track and I shift/control copied it to another track right below and added some flanger to it and generally messed around with that copy. I now want to combine the two tracks to add that flange (and automation etc.) to the original track.

I was able to accomplish this just now by sending the two tracks to a bus then bouncing from that bus to a new track. Is that the way to do such things?

John, I just discovered that myself. Thanks so much for the help. And that's the only way to accomplish such things? Easy enough, but curious.

Didn't need to export - just bounced from the bus to a new track.

No need to create a new bus or to export. Just solo the two tracks, and bounce with source set to the Master or Entire Mix. Unless you already have FX on the Master that you don't want in the bounce; then you would need a new bus, or have to disable those FX temporarily. Likewise, you'll probably want to disable any Sends on the tracks if you want a dry bounce with just track controls like volume and panning applied.

or you could just "apply effects" to the track, unless you really needed to bounce it for some reason . . .

wilqen, I was trying a couple of effects that I wanted applied to one copy and not the other to create a sort of 'layer' when both tracks were combined. Not sure I succeeded but the sound is different than if I had just applied effects to the single track and that's what was intended.
