Ok it worked that time! Great song. Was that your wife singing the second part? The words are very family friendly, and well done.

Glad you liked it. Yes that's my Wife singing in the bridge. She's has a really great voice. When I first met her she never mentioned she could sing.... and I never mentioned anything about playing guitar. We had both been away from music for 20 plus yrs. Since law enforcement has been under attack in the county (especially in the previous admin) I think its about time that we let them know that we have their backs. They are the only buffer between a civilized society and anarchy. Sure there is a tiny percentage of cops that are bad but the vast majority are good people trying to make a difference. This song is for them and the civilians of this nation that have their backs when and if the SHTF... I hope we never have to find out. Craig

Fantastic listen! I'd bump up the vocals in the heavy part but otherwise spot on!

Thanks String Jammer They do seem to get a little buried in the choruses... .especially the 2nd chorus. I'm gonna try backing off on the doubler and bring the non double lead voc and back ups up a little more there to get it to pop up a little more. Craig

Great song! Very well done across the board IMHO. It rocks but still sounds well balanced, and yeah, the vocals are a standout. But so is that solo.

Yes, really good song and a great story! Very professional sound to my ears. "answer in my hand" - love that. I took notice of the lyric structure. Not your traditional rhyming verses, more of a narrative I suppose. I thought it worked well.

Thanks Steve, I'm trying to write lyrics that actually mean something to me these days. I think with the raw deal that Law enforcement is getting these days they should know that most people really appreciate what they do. Craig

Thanks Bjorn, I'm trying to create some lyrics with more variety. I sometimes will try and rhyme with a similar sounding word but it doesn't have to rhyme perfectly. I find it difficult to rhyme words without sounding contrived. I'm definitely not a lyricist. I have more respect for a good lyricist more than ever these days. Craig
