This is possibly the full version and the one at Don't Crack might be a limited one.....IDK.....when I have some time, I'll check out the differences.

The Link at Don't Crack takes you straight to Plugin Alliance for you to purchase the plugin...

It's not free...there is no free version that I'm aware of...

It might just work in DEMO mode...IDK...

I was quite surprised by that also...because it DID appear under the FREEWARE tab...
But I followed the link and got the Download page...

I bought the Single and the Plugin....I still had $10 in my PayPal account...
I figured I might as well use it to help out a fellow musician...even if I never use
the Plugin...BTW...the single is pretty good...so, at least that was money well spent...LOL

From the little I read on this plug, it's basically to give the kick drum a nice "boomy" sound without muddying up the sound correct?
What are your thoughts on the usage of this?

Sounds good......SOS gave a little review:

"The stand-alone Boom plug-in is only available in a stereo version, and is the exact opposite of BX_dynEQ in terms of complexity, as there are only two controls. A kick-drum graphic turns out to be an Amount knob for boosting or attenuating the effect, and a kick-drum pedal is a three-way switch for selecting the frequency range for processing (32, 48 or 64 Hz). The knob also seems to be linked to the processing threshold. Apparently, the low boost is applied only for around 50ms per hit, so the sound never gets messy. The bass-drum knob flashes when an over-the-threshold hit is detected: avoid having it lit all the time or the dynamic effect will be lost.
I used Boom to rescue a badly recorded kick drum with no real weight to it, and it did a great job. Simple though it seems, Boom includes the M/S capabilities of the full BX_dynEQ, so that kick drums can be equalised (both positively and negatively) within a stereo mix without upsetting the side signals, hence the reason the plug-in is stereo. Personally, I’d have liked a separate threshold and amount control, rather than having them apparently combined, and perhaps a mono version without the M/S processing, but Boom is a great way to get results without having to think too hard, offering a powerful ‘instant’ solution hiding behind a trivially simple user interface."

    I like no-brainers.

Ok...report back...I had a few minutes so opened up a 32 out of BFD 3, solo'd the kick...and checked it out
    briefly...

It does what it says it does....presets are good...did some adjustments, yep...more and less...

Is it the be all and end all of Plugins...nope...is it worth $10....I'd say so...if you want a quick way to
pull the kick out in a mix...nothing you can't do yourself...but it's quick and easy...

And you're helping out a fellow musician sell a song...and some plugins...never know...it may pan out into something...

Larry, do me a favor and run this plugin through Christian Budde's VST Plugin Analyzer and tell me what it really does.

Bit, it's nothing more then an EQ and some shelving....

Nothing that can't be done elsewhere...but what the hey...$10 for
a fellow musicians song and a plugin...I'm good with that...
